In this Group-E encounter, Pakistan's captain Saad Beg won the toss and opted to bowl first. The Indian opening pair had a slow start, losing their first wicket in the 9th over with a total of 39 runs. Arshin Kulkarni (24) fell victim to Amir Hasan. Shortly after, Rudra Patel (1) also departed, dismissed by Mohammad Jeeshan.

From there, Adarsh Singh and captain Uday Sharan forged a partnership, adding 93 runs in 120 balls for the third wicket. The Indian team seemed well-placed at this point. However, after Adarsh Singh's dismissal for 62, wickets started falling in quick succession. Mushir Khan (2) and Aravelli Avanish (11) were dismissed inexpensively.

Dominant Performance by Pakistan Secures Victory Against India in U-19 Asia Cup Clash

In a highly anticipated Under-19 Asia Cup match held in Dubai, the Indian team faced a comprehensive defeat against Pakistan. Despite three Indian batsmen scoring half-centuries, Pakistan's bowling attack, led by Mohammad Jeeshan, restricted India to 259 runs in their allotted 50 overs. Jeeshan claimed four crucial wickets, while Amir Hasan and Ubed Shah took two wickets each.

Indian Innings Highlights:

Three Indian batsmen displayed strong performances, and a partnership of 48 runs between Captain Uday Sharan and Sachin Dhas helped the team surpass the 200-run mark. Uday Sharan's well-played 60 runs were a notable contribution, but wickets fell rapidly after his dismissal. Sachin Dhas remained unbeaten with 58 runs as the Indian team concluded their innings at 259, losing 9 wickets.

Pakistan's Chase:

In pursuit of the 260-run target, Pakistan faced an early setback with the loss of Shamul Hussain at 8 runs. However, a resilient partnership of 110 runs between Shazib Khan and Azaan Awais steadied Pakistan's innings. Shazib's departure at 138 did not deter Pakistan, as Azaan continued his exceptional form. Azaan Awais played a brilliant century-scoring inning, contributing 105 runs off 130 balls. Captain Saad Beg joined forces with Azaan, adding an unbeaten 125-run partnership to secure Pakistan's victory. Saad's explosive innings of 68 runs off 51 balls played a crucial role in steering Pakistan to victory.

Result:

Pakistan achieved the target in just 47 overs, winning the U-19 Asia Cup clash against India with 8 wickets in hand. Azaan Awais' century and Mohammad Jeeshan's stellar bowling performance were the highlights of Pakistan's dominant display in this encounter.
